Casual Labourer Issue before Standing Comittee on Labour .

Casual Labour contract in BSNL and issues related to them is now in front of Standing Committee on Labour. The Committee observed that earlier reports on "deployment of casual laboures in BSNL" are very casual and devoid of facts and has asked detailed reports to CMD BSNL and Secretary, DoT Memeber(services) .A questainaire on List of Points pondered by Hon'ble  Standing Committee on Labour is issued in this regard.( Available in BSNL Intranet)

As by default occurs in BSNL, it is now sent to Circle offices to CGMs report. This will come soon to SSAs, and down to earth to the JTOs. So we advice our members to start learning Labour Laws viz 
The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act 1970,
The Trade Unions Act, 1926,
The Trade Unions (Amendments) Act, 2001,
The Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946,
The Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Rules, 1946,
The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947,
The Payment of Wages Act, 1936,
The Payment of Wages Rules, 1937,
The Payment of Wages (AMENDMENT) Act, 2005,
The Minimum Wages Act, 1948,
The Minimum Wages (Central) Rules, 1950,
The Payment of Bonus Act, 1965,
The Payment of Bonus Rules, 1975
And relevant provisions of EPF and ESI rules and regulations, If you get time try to learn IPC and CPCs.All these are mandatory for DEs/SDEs/JTOs only, for rest of folks CCS (CCA) Rules will do!
