For MNP Port In customers

This is to intimate that It has been decided by the competent authority to withdraw all the
special tariffs offered to port-in customers intimated as per Corporate Office letter dtd 18-01-2011
cited above, except waival of port-in charges of Rs.19/-.

It is lately found that what ever offers Priv Telcos gives customers they are in lose path. To curb this fall out they have no offer in their vanity bags ,so better way is to firewall BSNL IN PORT with red face same time leaving a cold smile for Rs19/-

Priv Telcos can be read as Private Telecos or Privileged Telecos.

  1. In the title, it is sop (SOP) and not the detergent thing. Please change.

  2. And, believe me, BSNL need not give any sop to get more customers. MNP is never going to make that much of an impact anyway. Those who go through the process of filling out forms etc aren't exactly sleeping when they choose BSNL. In any case, the change (migrating to new service provider) will happen painfully slowly, it's not like 100,000 customers are lost in a month. A few thousands will leave and a few thousands will come. That really isn't going to matter. What matters more is landline disconnection and the lack of promotion of broadband, for which BSNL arguably provides very good service.
